It's official, Firefox 1.5 has arrived

Firefox 1.5 has finally been released, accompanied by a design overhaul in the product site and add-ons.

I've been using Firefox 1.5 since the second beta release, and it's certainly an improvement in many areas. If nothing else, you should get it for the new automatic update system. This new system makes sure that your Firefox browser is always up-to-date will all of the latest security fixes and improvements. 1.5 and on, the update process is almost invisible: just confirm the update and then restart Firefox.

Furthermore, there have been significant improvements in standards support. Here is a comparison of Firefox 1.0 and 1.5 CSS support. For those who are curious, Firefox 1.5 comes out at 65% overall CSS support compared to 1.0's 58% and Opera 8's 62%. I'm still working on the HTML and DOM information (which I'll hopefully get to really start cracking at once I've finished getting this site all fixed up).
