Google Base goes live

Google Base has finally gone live and users can begin submitting content. For those who don't know, Google Base is a tool aimed at allowing a wide variety of different types of content to be manually submitted to Google for searching.

In other news, after 40 hours (compared to the 12 it says it will take), my Google Analytics data has finally come in and I'm starting to get a lot of information. In some ways, I believe my homegrown statistics system is more comprehensive (for example, Google Analytics doesn't appear to properly recognize search queries through Google Image Search, since that information has to be squeezed out of a referrer parameter rather than having its own parameter), but Google Analytics also shows a lot of stuff my system doesn't touch on. It should be a couple of weeks before I can get enough data to be useful.
