New Default Directory Viewer
I finally went ahead and made a new (and fairly cross-platform) viewer for my public directory. It now fits the theme of my site, although it still uses Downy WebFront as the back-end.
As usual, it looks far worse in Internet Explorer than in any other browser, and that certainly isn't done on purpose. IE just isn't capable of handling fully CSS-based layouts of this complexity without a bunch of special hacks, which I'm not doing.
I think most importantly, every browser (and search engine) receives the same version of the page now. Although I only designed it in Firefox, it worked perfectly on its first go in every other browser I've tested it in, except for Internet Explorer of course.
