Gmail Drive?

There is a lot of speculation going on about the implications of Google aiming to give unlimited e-mail storage space in Gmail. In combination with a recently added feature that allows you to use Gmail to share photos with Picasa, there is once again talk about Google offering large amounts of general storage space. It seems very possible that Google would expand Gmail to offer storage for other types of files. While Google's strategy to be liked by the public used to be to get the user on the road out of Google as quickly as possible, they're now seeing that they can trap users in certain services (like Gmail) and still be praised for it. Giving a whole bunch of free webspace could be a good implimentation of this. The longer the user stays on the site, the better the chances of the user clicking on ads. Other sites like Yahoo! have been aware of this concept for quite some time, but they've never been able to achieve the trust and admiration from their users that Google has. The Googlers must realize this, and, hardware permitting, some sort of multipurpose online storage unit from Google in the near future is a realistic possibility.

Would someone send me an active link so I can sign up for Gmail, please? Those that I've tried are dead and Google no longer has it on their seach page. Thanks.
