It's been buzzing around the news lately: The Mozilla Suite is apparently being permanently discontinued, dispite the recent version 1.8 release candidate. There have been concerns that Firefox hasn't been getting the support it needs from the Mozilla Foundation, and they feel that it's in their best interest now to pour their efforts exclusively into Firefox and the other stand-alone applications that emerged from the Suite. Is this good news or bad news? Well, it depends on whom you ask. People who enjoyed the all-in-one application suite will be disappointed, but this could mean that Firefox development will now be faster and more efficient (at least, that's the idea). The core development team at the Mozilla Foundation is also being reorganized to improve efficiency.
