Merriam-Webster Releases Firefox Tools
Merriam-Webster (yes, the dictionary company) is now providing five new tools for Firefox. These include two actual Firefox extensions, a search plugin, and two bookmark tools (one of which is meant to be used as a sidebar). It's always great to see these giant companies recognizing the growing popularity of Firefox.
In other news, Internet Explorer's estimated market share has sunk well below 90% for the first time since the last browser wars, and it continues to plummit as Mozilla browsers achieve over 8% and rising. My website's stats (which include some statistics from other sites) show Internet Explorer holding 60% and Mozilla browsers totaling about 30%, and these figures are very common among more "technical" websites.
