Mike Portnoy has announced the next Dream Theater studio album, entitled Octavarium. It's currently planned to be released on 2005-06-07. Some of the band members have said really good things about this album, and James LaBrie even said it may be their best work yet. It's been described as very progressive. Here is the track listing:

One of the tracks will certainly be the next chapter of Mike Portnoy's Glass Prison series. Based on the titles, it could be one of several. Other than that, it seems like they're back to variety albums. I can't wait for the release.
