Four Gmail Invites Up For Grabs

I still had one Gmail invite from the previous distribution round, and today I decided to check on my number and I found I had seven invitations. I went to all of my regular IRC channels and offered invitations, but only three people were interested (most of them already had accounts and were looking to give their invites away, too).

So now I have four invites left, and I don't have anyone in particular to give them away to. Because of that, I'm offering a Gmail invite to the first four people to post a comment on this blog with their first name and last name (these are requested by Gmail itself when I go to send an invitation), their current e-mail address (not from Yahoo! Mail or Hotmail, since they are reportedly blocking Gmail invites).

Also, since it is likely that many people will read this particular blog post (and blogs are about making statements), I would like to strongly encourage Internet Explorer users to switch to a better web browser such as Firefox. Internet Explorer has failed miserably at keeping up-to-date with web standards, which is why this blog looks so horrible to IE users. Firefox is fast, blocks popups by default, has theme support, allows extensions for anything from chatting to mouse gestures for navigation, is very easy to use, and is completely 100% free. What most people don't realize is that Internet Explorer not only isn't the best browser, but it's by far the worst major web browser available today. Don't be fooled by Firefox's relatively low version number; it's already more stable and complete than Internet Explorer 6. Finally, I recommend you grab the Qute theme, my personal favorite.

Now that that's out of the way, comment! comment! comment! And please remember all three things you need to tell me.

Yeah, it seems these invites are fairly popular. I still have two I need to give away.

Hope you have at least one more invite left just for me. I'm a Gmail whore ;-)

BTW, nice blog you've got. Firefox is damn good browser but I still prefer Safari on my Mac. Firefox still feels kind of sluggish with it's XUL UI

Okay, I sent an invitation to the first four people who gave me their first name, last name, and e-mail address. Several people left out some of this information, so I didn't send you one. Read the instructions, guys. ;)

And I am now at the moment fresh out of invitations.

Funny thing.. I jokingly offered to change my bird's name in exchange for a Gmail invite, using http://www.gmailswap.com, and someone actually gave me one. But since in Gmail's Program Policies it says that users cannot have multiple account, I decided to redirect it to the next person in line. So now the fifth person here got an invite. Congratulations!

By the way, my bird's new name is The Almighty Lord and Master of the Universe, or Almu for short. :)
